So this year, several little critters I call family went to sleep for the last time. April rat was put down earlier this year because of a tumor that was just eating away at her. A few months later, Cabby, the royal princess/pain of my ex's herd of guinea pigs passed. Soon after, I found out my family's cat Cookie, at 16 years, was put down and the next day my rat Janie had to be put down as well. I thought that was it, but today, I found out our little blind and deaf pygmy guinea pig Cici had to be put to rest due to several issues with her mouth. It was likely she wouldn't survive the necessary surgery so Kayla made a decision. Lord knows it wasn't an easy one but it was overall the right one. Even if she did survive the surgery, the ensuing treatments would have just been hell on her.
I know some people might think it silly of me to be so sad over lost pets, but each of those little lives were very important to me. I sit here with tears welling up in my eyes over those lost lives but I am grateful that they were a part of mine. There are far too many people who think the only lives that matter are human lives. I truly feel sorry for those people because they don't know the unconditional love of pets.
I know it seems lame of me to do this, but it's fitting, I think. There are humane societies, rescues, hospices and several place of the like that have animals that need loving homes. Dogs and cats need homes, no doubt, but don't discount the little ones. The hamsters, guinea pigs, mice and rats. They can all be very loving and friendly little critters. Adopt a pet. They need as much love as anyone else, maybe even more.

I just had a very weirdly zen drive home. I can't explain it but it was very surreal. Surreal in that looking back on it, I can't believe I felt so calm and so okay with the world around me. The Beatles were playing on the radio; it wasn't very loud. I wasn't thinking about my day at work that I had just ended, I wasn't thinking about what I was going to do when I got home. I was just in the moment. There was no future, there was no past. It was just... now. That was just an amazing experience. Just complete contentedness.
Very weird.
Very weird.

Hmmm... (I think that's one too many "M"s)
I've always heard that adding your work friends to your Facebook/Twitter/Social Network of choice was a bad idea. I'm kinda curious about that. Thanks to my friend Ryan, I know that I can modify Facebook to only show so much for certain people I can filter, so there's that. But I'm just wondering about myself and why I seem to have a hard time really accepting co-workers as friends. It wasn't until I stopped giving a rat's ass at VZW that I started befriending everyone.
I don't know. I seem to be okay making friends otherwise, judging by my Twitter, but I dunno... I look at co-workers' FB accounts and see that almost everyone has each other friended. I think I just don't want to be a part of the drama bullshit that is interweaved in all call centers. The last thing I need is for something stupid to happen OFFSITE and shit start floating around at work. It can be so damned absurd, but at the same time, am I depriving myself of an opportunity to make friends with co-workers? My boss and the rest of the sups who report to her all got together last Friday and even though I was so drunk, I still felt like I was the odd man out. It didn't stop me from being a complete retard, but still.
I don't know.
What say you, friends?

I was offered my perfect schedule: 2:30PM-11:00PM with Friday and Saturday off. So here are the Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- It's my ideal schedule.
- I can work late and get a lot of work accomplished when it slows down in the evening.
- I have Friday and Saturday off so I can have a social life.
- I can have Sunday morning breakfast at Lolo's with my #BKarmy buddies.
Cons:
- I would sacrifice my team that I've really worked hard with and I would feel like I was abandoning them.
- I would be reporting to a new boss, leaving behind my old boss who has been very, very supportive of me and invaluable to my development.
- I do like the midshift and getting out at 7:30PM.
- My current schedule gives me all of Sunday off for football.
So what do you think? Any and all feedback is welcome.

Now what?
I'm in LA spending time with my wonderful family and friends. On the drive, I kept thinking how nice it was going to be, being back in my old stomping grounds. I've been very homesick lately and was looking forward to coming home a great deal. Now I'm beginning to wonder if its just me missing the good old days and trying to grasp at my dwindling youth, or if its just the realization that this isn't the same LA I left behind. Maybe I need to spend more time here to rediscover its magic.
I've been toying with the idea of moving back since Kayla and I broke up and was no longer tethered to AZ. But now I have a job as a supervisor at DISH Network and really want to push forward with it. So, I guess I'm tethered again. I don't know.
Maybe I'm overglamourizing LA. Maybe it's not the shining beacon of wonder and hope that it is in my heart. But then, I haven't exactly traveled to the nicer parts of the city since I got here today. I've been spoiled by PHX. No lie. The area I live in is akin to West LA. A few sordid areas along the fringe of the neighborhood, but for the most part, very nice and very clean.
What brings this back in my head is that my friend Alex offered me a room in her house for an astounding deal and I don't want to take it just yet for obvious reasons, but I have to admit, it has really piqued my interest. But would moving back, now or later, really be beneficial? I mean, I've made a few friends in PHX, sure, but I know they would all want me to do what's best for me. So now... what is best for me? Staying in Phoenix or coming home?
It sure as hell isn't this uncomfortable chair I'm sitting on. How the hell does my niece deal with this fucking thing?

I've been thinking...
These last couple of weeks that I've been away from work has given me a lot of time to think about what I want to do with my life. Lord knows I don't want to do customer service/tech support my whole life. I've been thinking about going back to school or maybe learning some web design. Point is, I need to do something that isn't tech support. I'd spoken with Anitza about some books on web design. I haven't had much chance to actually look through any books, but I really should get on that. Problem is I can't count on myself to learn on my own. I need to be in a structured learning environment, hence my decision to go back to school. Then I ask myself: "Should I go back to school for web design or should I go back for something bigger?"
The idea of going back to school and getting a 4 year degree scares the living hell out of me. So I thought maybe I should consider schools like ITT Tech or Collins College. I don't know. It's difficult to make these decisions on my own. I like to have the input of my friends. I know what my friends back home would say, but there's only one person who knows me better than I know myself and she's dealing with her own crap right now so I haven't had much chance to talk with her at all lately.
I have a hard time doing things on my own. I don't know why that is. I even missed the Star Trek exhibit that was in town because I had no one to go with, regardless of the fact that I was so super-excited that it was even coming to town. I really should see a therapist about this. This and my issues with death. But I digress.
School.
God, the idea excites me and terrifies me at the same time. I can't afford it, I can't afford to go to work part-time since I'm barely making ends meet as it is and I don't even know what kind of financial aid I can get. I know I sure as hell can't get any loans. Is going to school even realistic? Am I overthinking this?
Probably.

Yes... we can.
God is said to have given Man free will. The most key part of free will is the ability to hope. To hope for a better tomorrow. Now is the time when we need hope more than ever. The economy is failing, people are losing their jobs, their homes and their faith. Faith in the select few individuals they elected to represent them.
This is what's been hardest on me. That I can see the pain people are enduring everywhere I go. I've never been one to trust politicians. There's never been a reason to. They're the ones who've gotten us into this mess. What we need is someone who is not a politician by definition. What we need is someone who knows the struggle. Who understands it. Someone who has seen it with his own two eyes.
I believe in Barack Obama, not because he's the democratic candidate. But because he understands. He knows the madness. He understands the pain. He understands the chaos. I believe he genuinely wants to change the world. He's not doing it as some pinnacle of achievement. He's not just looking to run the country. He's looking to partner with the world to make it a better place. A better world for us all.
There is a lot of lost hope out there. A lot of people who wake up completely convinced that their voices don't matter. A lot of people who have given up hope that the world can change. It CAN change. For all of us. We need someone who is strong enough to look past the deep pockets. To look past the "powerful" and focus on the meek. Doesn't it say in the bible that "the meek shall inherit the earth?"
It CAN change. WE can change the world. Our voices DO mean something. November 4th is Election Day in this country. We're not just electing our President, we're electing the representative of this country to the rest of the world. It's time there was a change. It's time we regained our hope. We can change the world by electing the one man who understands that this is much bigger than just the country. This is global and only we can do anything about it. Vote for hope. Vote for the future. With Barack Obama, we can change the world.
Yes... we can.

It's been a while, I know...
Been going through a lot recently. I'm pretty effed financially right now so I've been looking for a new job. My current job is pretty much over and done with as Verizon, my previous employer, has recently purchased Alltel and I'm fairly certain they're shutting down our center since Verizon has one about 2 miles away. If they keep anyone, I'm sure I won't be one one of those lucky few as I'm not "rehireable" as I was terminated due to behavioral issues (venting about my boss to a friend who decided to turn me in.)
But I don't want to hash on the past in this post. No, this post is going to be about what's going on in my head. So we all know the economy has shat itself and the job market is taking a bad hit. I'm having a hard time finding a job that would pay as well as my current job pays. I can't make less than this as I'm already struggling. A thought crossed my mind recently and it's a thought I didn't want to acknowledge as it would mean admitting I've failed at surviving on my own. But the more I think about it, the more I see it as the most logical course. I need to go home.
If nothing else, at least back there, I can live with my mom at severely discounted rent since she owns the house. The job market isn't any better there than it is here, but at least there the pay is better as it's adjusted for cost of living. If I can get a job that pays fairly well, with the rent break I'll be getting, I can pay off my debts and maybe even my truck sooner than anticipated and I can start again.
But, it's more than that...
I miss it. I miss driving in Hollywood. I miss cruising the strip. I miss LA summer nights. I miss my family. I miss my friends. I miss the traffic, even. I miss living in a big city. Phoenix is a pretty sorry excuse for a city. Everyone here's too fucking uptight about everything. If you lived in LA, you'd know how much more tolerant people are there. I don't know.
Maybe I haven't given Phoenix a fair shot as I haven't really spent any time in the actual city except for when I went to the car show. I've been staying primarily in the east valley which is a lot nicer and I think I'm getting spoiled.
I saw a picture someone posted somewhere, I forgot where, but it was a window shot taken in the morning overlooking West LA and you could see the mountains, you could see the hills, you could see th J Paul Getty Museum on the hill. I remember driving up and down the 405 and seeing the signs for it.
I just long for those days where I knew my surroundings. I knew everything about them. That was my home. No one knew the city better than me.
Now, I don't even know anything outside my little safety zone in this valley.
I don't know anything, anymore.

Election '08
I'm going to start weighing in on the election here and there just because I don't really have anyone with whom to discuss politics so your comments are very welcome.
Here's what I'm thinking. The GOP only has two viable candidates at this point: Romney and McCain. The Dems only have two viable candidates: Hillary and Obama. As for everyone else, well here's how I break everyone down:
GOP
Huckabee - No one in this country can take the religious right at face value anymore (at least, that's what I think). This is why Huckabee won't get past Super Tuesday. The last thing this country needs is an even more religious nutjob in office. Say what you will about the man, convictions or not, his campaign has run out of gas.
Giuliani - He's a one-pump chump. All he's got is "I used to be mayor of New York." Seriously. He sounds like a fucking broken record. That's all he can say. Why? Because that's all the experience he has. He was hoping that 9/11 was going to lead him to victory. Turns out it's his swan song. Sorry, Rudy. Go put on a dress and some heels. You'll feel better in no time.
Paul - ... Wow. This guy is a piece of work. I think he has some good ideas, but he's way too extreme to be taken seriously. I mean, it would be nice to live in a world where people like him can be taken seriously enough to be viable, but in this day and age, people who know anything about politics are too realistic. There's no idealism left in this country.
Now, the two prime candidates, Romney and McCain.
Romney - He stands a chance. He's just center enough to appeal to a lot more than just your hard core right wingers but he's just not taking politics serious enough. He's too closed minded when it comes to the economy. Why is that? He's old and new money. He doesn't know what it's like to be a working man. He grew up wealthy and he stayed wealthy all his life. Sounds to me like he's just another elitist douchebag.
McCain - The only Republican in a long time to have earned my respect. I did lose faith in him when he started to kiss The Idiot-in-Chief's ass especially after all the mudslinging The Chimp did. And the sad part is, a lot of it wasn't mud. When McCain first ran, I really liked a lot of his ideas. I voted for him during California's one and only Open Primary in 2000. Fortunately, the primary was held in February, 4 months before the United States Supreme Court declared the Open Primary in California unconstitutional. Not that it mattered much. Gore won California for the Dems and The Idiot won it for the GOP. He still has a lot of good ideas. He's a lot more open minded than the other Republican candidates on the ballot. Good luck, you old bastard.
Democrats
Kucinich - Too left wing. Can't be taken seriously. When are people going to understand that if you want a chance to win, you have to at least look like you have some moderate tendencies. Earth to Kucinich---Earth to Kucinich. Do you copy? Do yourself a favor and drop out. Over. Seriously, dude. It's over.
Edwards - This guy is too pretty. You can't trust pretty people. I haven't really heard any solid stance on anything with him. He's kind of flying under the radar which is really stupid considering how important it is to be seen right now. Either that, or Hillary's ugly mug is just taking up too much screen time. Funny though, since he's still getting more votes than Kucinich. Hey Johnny, come out, come out wherever you are!
Now, the big guns in the Democratic race for the nod:
Clinton - Hrm... Don't get me wrong. I would love to see this country finally take its first step into a new era of politics by having it's first female president, but I really don't think she's it. I agree with a lot that she has to say. I do. I mean, I'm a registered Democrat so obviously, I'd have to agree with SOME things. But I just don't think she's ready for the big chair. There's one huge positive to her being President, though. Bill would be there pretty much helping her the whole way. It would be nice to see Bubba in action again. He was a great president, despite getting head in the Oval Office. I dunno. Hillary has a big mouth. Maybe if she'd used it to give Bill head when he wanted it, he would have never gotten impeached and the Democratic Party wouldn't have lost as much credibility as it did in 2000. Yes, I am blaming Hillary for these last 8 years of The Hillbilly Tyrant. Only because of how awesome it sounds.
Obama - Good looking, well-spoken, intelligent, real-world views. This guy sounds like a great candidate. I can't seem to understand why there's such controversy behind him. Hm. Maybe it's his tan. I dunno. Or maybe because his middle name is the same as the last name of the man who was our sworn enemy for the last 15 years. I like Obama a lot. His stances on the economy, immigration, abortion, his foreign policy are a lot more aligned to what I believe. He may not have a lot of experience, but I think he has what it takes to put this country back on track. To bring our boys and girls home when its feasible. To fix this struggling economy. Obama is the only person running that has struck a good vibe with me since the beginning of this race. They're claiming he's the next Kennedy. I hope they're right... well, except for the head-go-boom part.
These are all opinions from someone who doesn't really speak with anyone else about politics so a lot of these views might appear to be uneducated. Please bring your opinions to the table. I love political discussion. Just don't be a douchebag and get all pissy because someone disagreed with you.

Let the tides turn...
Well, here we are at the end of another year. 2007 didn't exactly pan out as I'd hoped but I think it's ended on a positive note. I've made peace with Kayla and we're still great friends, I've got a new job that I really like, but knowing what I know now, I will probably stay out of management. I don't think it's my thing. I know I'll be looking for a place to live much closer than where I am now because gas is probably gonna reach another market high in '08.
So the hunt for a new girlfriend has started pretty slowly. I've been trying to catch up financially so I can't afford to really go out anywhere. Plus, the end of the year always bums me out so I've been trying to get over that. Once January is in full swing, I should be fine. I've never asked anyone out before so it'll be a new experience for me. Woo. I only have one real interest right now anyway but... its a little complicated.
Kayla and I have made a lasting peace. I've really come to terms with the fact that we're broken up. I think it was bound to happen sooner or later. We were both really unhappy. I've forgiven her for what happened as I've realized one of us was eventually going to do something we'd regret because neither of us had the nerve to just come out with it. Now we're great friends again and still rely on each other because, when it comes down to it, we're the only real family we have out here. We still go out and do things together because we enjoy each other's company. She's changed a lot, too. She's so much happier with herself now because she's on medication and she's got herself a job that she's really good at. I'm proud of her. I like to think that I had a hand in that.
The job is great. I really like my supervisor and he's really cool about the fact that, yes, I'm experienced in all this, but the tools are still new to me so he's still giving me some leeway. I'm also making sure I'm doing my best. Every time he's listened to my calls, he always pays me a compliment. I'm kinda hard on myself and just shrug it off and say something like, "I'd better know what I'm doing. I did it for three years." Not to mention that call centers have been my career of choice for the last ten years. I really like the job. I like the people I work with and the management doesn't make try to lie to you so openly as they did at my last job. If something's going to happen you're probably not going to like, they'll lay it on the line. They won't just lie to you and say it won't happen and then it does. Alltel's a good company to work for, though I did say the same about my last job when I first started there.
I need to move closer. My job and all my friends are in the city and I live in the sticks. I don't get to see them much because of that. Not to mention the fact that I drive an SUV and gas prices are just shy of an ass rape sans lube. At this juncture, I'd like to say thank god I don't live in L.A. Now THAT'S an ass raping. Heh.
I don't think I'm going to stay in Arizona for much longer. I don't know. I might move out east or something. I don't know. I do know that AZ isn't going to be a permanent residence. I've also toyed with the idea of moving back to L.A. I don't know. At this point it's all talk but maybe 2008 is where a plan will begin to form. I sure hope so.
I think I see 2008 as a good year. Remember, it's an election year. NO MORE IDIOTS ON AMERICA'S THRONE!

Decisions... more than one!
One of the more interesting days came this week in which two decisions I had to make were made without me really even putting much more thought than I'd realized.
By now, most of you know that I've been tormented by the AT&T and Alltel demons. Well, those demons have been slain and I've decided to take the chance at Alltel. It's going to be better for me in the long run and that's where my focus in my life is now. I don't think I'm meant for the "live in the now" mentality. I don't think looking further down the road is going to make me any less interesting. If anything, it's going to make my life more interesting because now I have a goal to shoot for and it's gonna be fun getting there. I haven't quite worked out the details, but I needed a goal. This can only end up being positive for me. This year has been teh suck and I need to start making it better.
So my second decision was one that I didn't even see coming. As we speak, Kayla is spending the weekend with her new boyfriend and I woke up the other day having realized that I'm perfectly fine with it. Now what I feel is mostly jealousy in that she found someone and I'm still single. The real trip was that I realized I'm ready for it. I'm not just looking to date because I'm still recovering from the breakup. I'm looking for something serious again. I've often considered the break up as being something that needed to happen, which is why I wasn't as distraught when it happened. I had initially believed it to be the meds, but in the end, I was just okay with it. I mean, it still hurt. It hurt like a bitch. But I think we're both better off this way. We're still trying to stay friends but I put up the disclaimer, "Leave some details out" for her. She understands, thankfully. lol
So now I have to look into what being ready for a relationship means. I've never really done the dating scene since I met Kayla when I was a basement dweller and met her online. But my friend is trying to set me up with her roommate who I used to work with. Very pretty girl and quite the opposite of Kayla. So, if nothing else, I'm a little curious to see if we'd hit it off. I dunno. I need a haircut. That much I do know.
I can't end a post on my blog without acknowledging the loss of my little Tor last weekend. It devastated me, but I'm coming to terms with it. I was expecting it to happen as most rodentia don't handle moves well and since she was the smallest of my three girls, I figured it'd be hardest on her. I'll miss her. She was our little baby so Kayla was hurt pretty hard as well. But I have plenty of memories and pictures of my little girl so I'll never forget her.

North, South, East or West? Heh... Might be up or down for all I know.
I think I'm at a crossroads in my life, though I may be making a mountain out of a molehill.
So I've been perplexed by a decision I have to make within the next month. I've been offered a job working for Alltel Wireless. I'll make less than what I'm making now at AT&T but the job is stable, I'll be getting benefits, and there is advancement. AT&T is a contract gig. No bennies, no advancement (unless they hire us full time which, while likely, probably won't be for a sometime yet), but great pay and easy work.
I was going to sit down and make a pros/cons list because this decision has me split right down the middle. I mean, typically, I'll lean one way or the other. But this one has me completely at a loss. While contemplating my decision, I was checking out WWdN:iX and Wil's post about about the journey, not the destination made me realize that I'm no longer a kid, doing what's easiest or what makes me the most money isn't what drives me anymore. The fact that I'm contemplating leaving one job for another based on the ability to make a career out of it really surprised me.
True, I haven't made my decision. I could very well choose to go with the money as it could really help me right now. But do I really need it? I don't think so. The pay cut I'm taking is only $1+ an hour which isn't all that bad. And the drive would be considerably shorter. So that's a benefit in its own right.
But then the money would help get me out of debt a lot faster and the job really is easy. But it's such a rinky-dink set up. They haven't gotten anything truly stable yet as it's a new product. So we have to deal with seriously pissed off customers, field technicians who electrocute themselves because, gods love 'em, they were only born with half a brain, and lower level techs who are too afraid to try anything because they don't want to screw up and have the customers yell at them.
The decision is harder than I had ever realized. I would start with Alltel November 5th so I have until then to make a decision. I mean, I don't even know what it's going to be like at Alltel. I can only hope it'll be like Verizon. While VZW had its drawbacks, it was a stable company with a lot of room to grow. I made it to supervisor there. I'm just not sure. Maybe it'll be worse. I wish I had a crystal ball. Not to see how things would come out, but to get lottery numbers so I could just throw this whole decision out the window and live in a giant mansion on a lake somewhere in Ireland. Eh, a man can dream.
And now, Email sig of the day, courtesy of WWdN: "Always be yourself. Unless you suck."

At work...
Well, I'm almost completely moved out of my apartment. Just some minor clean up work left before I sever such a tie. That was my first apartment in AZ so it's a kind of an odd and sad feeling. Lots of memories in that apartment. Lots to look back on.
On the plus, I'm getting situated at my house though the lack of any real TV sucks ass. The girls are moved in so my roommate's cat has been eyeballing them. I'm not worried, though. If she somehow manages to actually turn the knob and open the door, the girls will give her what fer.
I have to really thank Dawnee for giving me the opportunity to live in a house for the first time in 17 years. It's an odd feeling knowing that there isn't someone on the other side of the wall. Not to mention that I really needed a new living situation as my finances were really beating me to hell.
I've been stressing about my own life lately. Ever since I got fired from VZW, things have been unstable and I hate instability. I feel like I've lost any semblance of control. Job hopping from GoDaddy to AT&T and now Alltel in November. I feel like a loser. I don't job hop. I'm supposed to be the stable, hard-working one. It's aggravating.
I know things will get better. It just seems kind of overwhelming right now.

Quote of the Day
In a conversation I had with my buddy Chris where he was implying that my moving out to Maricopa was akin to living out in the desert itself by saying I'm going to be "squatting over a piece of dessert [sic]."
"OH! You dope. DESERT only has one "S". Here I am imagining myself squatting over a piece of pie."

My birthday
I'll just recap briefly what today consisted of.
Woke up this morning and got ready for my interview at Alltel. They offered me the position at a buck and a half less than what I'm making now. But I'll actually have benefits and can accrue vacation time and such. I think it's a far better deal. After the interview, I had to go pee in a cup. Wee.
Rather than go to work, I went to go get some chinese food and on the way home, picked up a copy of Halo 3. Figured I earned it and since it launched on my birthday, it was fate. I came home, ate my food, dressed down and went into work for the second half of the day.
After work, I came home and just hung out for a while, fielding calls and text messages from people wanting to wish me a happy birthday. I eventually ordered a pizza and soda and came home. Hung out a little more, watching some more of season 6 of Scrubs. After that was over, I went into the living room and played Halo 3 on the HDTV. Fucking AWESOME!!!! Damn. I didn't realize I had played for three hours. I came back in here at about 11pm and figured my hiatus had lasted long enough.
Thanks to those of you who sent me the birthday greetings. I really appreciate it. My birthday wasn't so bad after all. I guess I just wanted to prepare myself for the worst. I'm pretty content with today.
Only problem: with Halo 3 sitting in my living room... I'm never going to get any packing done.

Yeah... I'm gonna be incommunicado tomorrow...
Tomorrow is going to be rather depressing for me so I've decided to go dark for the day. No chat programs or MySpace or LJ or anything of the sort. In fact, I think I'm just going to turn my computer off at the stroke of midnight.
So thank you in advance to all of you who send me your well wishes. Don't think they go unappreciated. This is just one birthday that I'd really rather forget. You guys have a great Tuesday and stay out of trouble. Or if you do get into trouble, post about it somewhere so I have something to read come Wednesday.

I have a rat crawling on my shoulders...
I love my girls. They're batshit.
I start my new job tomorrow. Everyone I know is wondering how I could work for the Evil Empire again. I tell them what I've been telling myself: It's not the old AT&T. The company I'll be working for used to be known as SBC which was one of the best companies to work for in the west. They just changed their name to AT&T.
I'm excited, though. It'll be good to be a grunt doing tech support again. I don't think I want to be management anymore. I'd like to get back into the wireless industry. Maybe be a cell tech. I dunno. I've come to this odd realization that I've lost sight of my goal. Once I became a supervisor, I sort of lost my drive because that's what I was shooting for and I made it. So... now what? I have to rethink things now. Where do I want to go?
I'll be leaving Arizona fairly soon. I don't know when. But I've think I've done all I can here. Now the question is: where to? There's any number of places I can go where I'll have friends. We'll see where things lead.

This is new...
Yeah, I decided to move my blog over to a site a little more professional than LJ. The whole SixApart thing was just getting too stupid so I decided to come over to Blogspot. I thought about going over to Typepad but that's owned by 6A, too, so screw that idea.
Well, since this is something that a lot more people may view, let me give you a little info about me and why I chose "MajorXero".
MajorXero was my gamer name. I used to play first-person shooters like Medal of Honor so I wanted something with a military ring to it. I was also really bad at these games so I went with "Zero". Rather than be totally lame (and cuz Xs are cool), I changed the Z to an X and thus, MajorXero was born.
Woo.
A little about me:
I'm 26, turning 27 on Sept 25. Born and raised in Los Angeles. I moved out of my mom's when I was 24 and moved to Anaheim. Came out to Phoenix when I was 25 with my then-girlfriend. Figured I'd try to grow more as a person by leaving the nest. Worked at a major wireless company until July of this year. I'll be moving in with a friend out in Maricopa, AZ at the end of this month. I'll be able to sever ties completely with my ex now. I'm not in love with her anymore, but I think I need a clean break with her. I've been living in our apartment since she cheated on me in May of this year. Time for me to move on by myself. Start exploring options on my own and be my own man.
I'm a big boy now.
